Live Oak Coffee Table

Inspired by the master himself, George Nakashima, this coffee table is my homage to one of his great designs.  The Walnut center base is complimented by White Oak stretchers that are meticulously fitted with traditional bridal joints for strength and stability. Fitted to the base is a one of a kind Quarter-Sawn Live Oak slab.  The tree was a heritage tree in Austin before it died and was removed for safety reasons by the homeowner.  This tree was located in an older North Austin neighborhood where it had stood for decades.  Now it will continue it's life as this stunning coffee table for years to come.

Dimensions: 65L x 28-23W x 17T

Finish: Top is Finished with Rubio Monocoat while the base is finished with a three part oil finish.
